Chaos pages are one of my absolute favorite things to draw.
"What is a chaos page?" You inquire. I mean, the name's a bit self-explanatory, but I appreciate you asking. Really moves the post along, y'know?
A chaos page is where you fill a page with anything that comes to mind (household objects, animals, song lyrics, hands, eyes, quotes, and so on). I generally stick to doodling, but some people dabble in mixed media and glue leaves or photos onto their pages. It's a really fun way to conquer a blank page and get out of your comfort zone by drawing subjects that might be unfamiliar to you. Also, chances are you're going to start running out of ideas halfway through and your imagination is gonna get a great workout :)
Alternatively, you can make a more focused chaos page that revolves around a central idea; like a specific place, book, show, or character (like the one I did below). I've found this to be very helpful for refining ideas, and I often draw this kind of chaos page when I'm worldbuilding for a story or fleshing out a character (or just hyperfixating on a band). You could even draw a page that explores a specific emotion, which can be very cathartic if you've got a lot on your mind.

Whether you're looking to liven up your sketchbook or you've drawn yourself into a corner and are facing art block, this is a fantastic way to showcase your skills, get creative, and challenge yourself to step outside that box we often trap ourselves in when we get too comfortable drawing only familiar subjects.
ALso great for mural inspiration
